25:17:16 | 200 miles | 7:35 min/mile

Pre-Race Routine and Warm-Up:
A lot of stretching and hydration starting two days out. Ate high carbs on Wednesday night and Thursday Lunch. Race started at 2 on Friday for us so I tapered my eating back beginning Thursday night. Friday light breakfast and lunch, and a ton of water/Gatorade. Stretch and relax.

Performance Comments:
I didn't know what to expect. Last year I only ran all the way up to this event so I logged way more miles running. However, during the race this year I was way stronger and way faster due to the cross training instructed by Coach Ali. I had 36 great miles. average pace- 6.9min/mile

What Would You Do Different?
Find a way to sleep during the race. Felt like my nutrition and hydration was right where it needed to be but was exhausted. Last year I got some sleep, this year I just couldn't get good rest.

Post Race Activities and Cool Down:
I had to go to a reunion so no bed until 11:30 after the race. Ate, hydrated and stretched a ton. Was not near as sore as I thought I would be!!

Event Comments:
You never know what kind of weather to expect in a 25 hour race. We had all kinds of it along with great race support. If you like to punish yourself it is an awesome race to be in. Team name was “glad its not my van”... and I’m glad it wasn't my van!

Would You Do This Race Again?
No question, great race.
