Pre-Race Routine and Warm-Up:
Running late to the race, start up transition area and did a quick walk thru of the swim in, bike out, run out.

Swim

28:22 | 1500 M | 1:54 min/M

Performance Comments:
Was a little nervous going into the swim, not having swam since the Florida 70.3 with the broken rib. I got into the water and took my first stroke to the left, and when I didn't feel any pain from the rib I knew that I was going to be pushing this race. Even though the coach told me to do it as a "C" race! The swim time sure wasn't my best but all things considered, not bad.

What Would You Do Different?
If I had a choice I wouldn't have broken my rib, that way I could have kept up with my swim practice and maybe had a little better swim time.

Post Race Activities and Cool Down:
I did a lot of walking off after the race. I wasn't going to go through another leg cramp like I had at the Florida 70.3 race again! Took in a lot of electrolite drink and some high carb foods.

Event Comments:
It is a very nice race to go to and do if you are looking to have a easy ride and a lot of trial running.

Would You Do This Race Again?
Yes
